LEADER, one of the four initiatives of the EU Communities (the others - INTERREG, URBAN, EQUAL), launched by the EU in 1991. LEADER encourages rural people and organizations to take an active part in the process of residential and community development through cooperation between different partners. Currently, the LAG network unites 49 Lithuanian rural LAGs and at the end of this year will celebrate its 13th anniversary.

Viktorija Bražiūnaitė, Head of the Social Business Association, and Jurgita Ribinskaitė-Glatzer, Head of ,,Geri Norai LT", spoke about the development of social business.

Throughout the conference, participants submitted proposals for the future of LEADER / LAGs, which will be summarized by the LAG network for further discussion with members and responsible authorities on the implementation of the proposals.
